MACRO Consulting/Richard McCullough & an Anonymous Donor funded Project 13.9: School Uniforms for FutureLight Kids which supplies 34 Orphans a school uniform set for an entire year including: shoes, 2 shorts or skirts, 3 shirts, 2 belts, 5 pairs socks & a school bag. MACRO Consulting/Richard McCullough have been very generous supporters of the FutureLight kids since our inception.
Background: Future Light Children’s Home was founded in 2007 in Mae Sot Thailand. Working through Jennifer Lo, a Thai based model/actress and dedicated child advocate, we have supplied funding support for food and basic supplies to 39-46 Burmese refugee orphans all between the ages of 1 and 15. Jen led the transformation of the FutureLight Home which was nothing short of incredible and we will be teaming with her on many of our support projects as she has proven to be a real change agent. The children have a balanced diet and are fed three times a day. All of the older children go to a local village school and the toddlers stay home and have a daycare program on site. They learn in Thai, English and Burmese. Throughout the year Thai and Burmese teachers are hired to teach the kids a variety of lessons, assist with homework and encourage after school learning.
